But there is another highway that is actually a coast-to-coast highway that had its start in 1919\, the Lincoln Highway. Major Eisenhower was part of a convoy that drove from the East Coast to San Francisco. West of Omaha\, there were few roads\, which made the trek a miracle.\n\nINSTRUCTOR BIO Alan has been at Senior College since 2005. He has taught a huge variety of courses and looks forward to teach more.
